Trucking and seeing El Grande Canyone! We motored from Joseph, UT to Kanab, UT and set up Magellin. Then we went for a swim in the pool next to Magellin and after ate lunch. With half a day remaining we decided to set off in Magellin II for the North Rim of the magnificent El Grande Canyone! After crossing 30 miles of desert, we started climbing into a spruce and pine forest at over 8,000 feet. The road traveled through big meadows that were very peaceful. The climate is very dry and the fire hazard very high. We hardpressed to describe the majesty, awe, and inspiration one exprerience peering into the Grand Canyon. We let our pictures talk for us. The lodge on the North Rim is almost as cool as the canyon. We took several roads to parking lots and walked out to inspiration point, Cape Royal, and Roosevelt overlook. Altogether we walked 4.95 miles! Suffice it to say the Grand Canyon is magnificent and one BIG, DEEP hole in the ground.

More pictures to come in the morning...as we are two, too weary travelers tonight.
