Friday, August 10th

Today was a trucking day...leaving beautiful Grand Junction, Colorado and heading up to the Rocky Mountains for our next adventure.  We first had to stop at Palisades, Colorado to pick up some of their legendary peaches.  When we were visiting Jamie in June, she had told us to be sure and pick some up when came back through...and we are sure glad we did.  They have been a great treat for us!  Then we headed on a beautiful drive along the Colorado River.  The whitewater rafters, bicyclists and hikers have an amazing area to recreate.  So here's a few pictures from our traveling day!

Peach orchards & wine vinyards in Palisades, Colorado.

"The Palisades" rock formation that gives the town its name.

East of Glenwood Springs, CO along the Colorado River (note the bike path built into I-70).

One of several tunnels on the I-70 interstate...so we don't have to CLIMB the mountain!

Leaving the Colorado Canyon and heading to the Rockies!
